Exactly! It’s the same case with me. I talk baseball with only one main person, and he’s a Yankee fan. Yeah, there are arguments and taunts when one of our teams loses, but that’s no reason to hate, and I DON’T hate him for that, because he actually knows the game and I respect him for that. Ya know, I don’t hate Yankee fans. Why should I? Most don’t DO anything wrong. The worst they do is argue about how they feel the Yanks are better than the Sox. It’s not that bad. Unless you’re a Yankee fan who physically hurt me, I won’t hate you. And I won’t hate you BECAUSE you’re a Yankee fan….
Agreed. One of my closest friends is a diehard Yankee fan and honestly, he’s my favorite person to talk baseball with. And I don’t think anybody respects me as a baseball fan than he does and I respect him right back.
Yeah we go back and forth all the time. For every snark I have about Mark Teixeira looking like a horse, he’ll volley right back with citing John Lackey and arguing that at least his horse isn’t horribly out of shape and craps itself all the time. I give him massive props because he was so classy and nice to me about the last game of the season. I texted him about it like all night cuz I was just so pissed off and upset about it. And he wasn’t a douche about it at all.
